Relationships are the key to success! Our relationship building workshops are highly sought after due to the authentic and unique position we occupy in academia. After 15 years we are still in the classroom during the school day providing life skills training to disproportionately affected students. Our stories are immediately recognized by teachers as their stories, and the strategies we share are teacher-friendly and classroom-ready.

Don't assume your parents know
the rules of engagement.
"Our parents simply will not attend our parent meetings. We offer them food and prizes but they still will not attend," disgruntled parent organizer. Does that sound like your school / district? It is not a unique situation. The question is; are you aware of the factors that may be contributing to your outcome? If a parent considers him/herself successful if they get their child through to high school graduation, participation may wane in middle school. Our research revealed that parents who plan for their child to attend and graduate college are more likely to involve themselves in all aspects of their students' academic career. The art; therefore, is to help parents envision a path / "End-Game," / that ends with their child working in their college major.
