The young ladies were treated to the opportunity to meet accomplished female leaders and professionals--experts in their fields.
Canyon Springs High School is Clark County School District's "Law and Leadership Magnet." As part of our ongoing, "Leaders of the Future Empowerment Series," we contacted and partnered with local female legal experts and scheduled an event to empower our girls. Some of the experts who agreed to attend were Lieutenant Governor, Lisa Cano Burkhead (Video), Judge Tierra Jones, Assistant District Attorney, Brigid Duffy, Dean of the UNLV Law School, Leah Grinvald, Attorney Gillian S. Barjon, and the President/CEO of the Las Vegas Raiders, Sandra Douglass Morgan (Video).

The young ladies were treated to a visit to the airport where they were able to go behind the scenes and see first-hand how the airport operates. Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation (Harry Reid International Airport), started the tour with a personal welcome.
More than 300 young ladies have joined us on our tour of UNLV in hopes of one day attending the prestigious campus. We have much more scheduled for our girls as part of our ongoing, "Leaders of the Future Empowerment Series."
