Our 10-year ongoing independent research project, measuring the attitudes and behaviors of students who emanate from economically challenged environments and their inclination to connect a quality education to their future financial well-being - drives our relationship building offerings. We bring those 10 years of research and observation to your team in a teacher-friendly, and classroom-ready, format. |
Our strategies help your teachers identify, address, modify, and redirect challenging student behavior. We are one of the nation's leading providers of prevention and intervention training for young men of color, and disengaged students. The more challenging the student, the more necessary the relationship. The Institute has provided training to more than 10,000 teachers throughout the United States. Let us help you and your teachers gain a decisive advantage in producing positive outcomes with students from diverse communities. The Institute, recently partnered with Green Dot Public Schools, and created one of the few Elective Courses in the country, (created for and comprised solely of young men of color). CEO, Wes Hall, and his team, developed the curriculum that will be used to teach the class, and students will receive a grade toward graduation upon successful completion of the course. The Institute is one of nation's leading providers of content specific to young men of color. Our continual work in the classroom, during the school day, provides us a notable advantage in terms of staying connected, in real-time to real-life challenges, behaviors, and attitudes being expressed by young men of color. Our training workshops are highly interactive and parent-friendly. We offer a step-by-step guide to re-engaging your disengaged child. We are currently working on an app that parents can use to receive up-to-date information and strategies designed to help them maximize their child's academic experience. Our current relationship with colleges, enables us to share information about pathways and scholarship opportunities available to their children.
Parents are indeed the missing link to the success of their child, academically. The often overlooked and flawed assumption, is that parents are versed in how to support the success of their child, in terms of education. The Institute, through years of parent engagement and empowerment, understands many of the challenges parents experience in trying to navigate the cluttered and often shifting educational environment. We help to simplify the terrain and help parents be active and engaged participants in the academic well-being of their children. More information about our parent training can be found here |
