Mr. Wesley F. Hall, is an Educational Consultant to the Los Angeles Unified School District. He is the co-creator of the "Young Men of Color Initiative." He, along with Dr. Brenda Manuel, (Director of the Student Unit), manage and direct the initiative, which includes, "The Village Movement," and "The Gathering of Minds," (A male academic-improvement, think-tank).
Mr. Hall is currently consulting with the district to develop a district-wide Implementation Plan, in alignment with, The Council of Great City Schools, in association with the, "My Brother's Keeper," initiative. The plan will mobilize departments throughout the district, and direct resources, funding, and personnel, toward the academic improvement of young men of color. Mr. Hall developed the curriculum, currently being used by the Village Movement. The curriculum was developed as part of an 10-year ongoing independent research project, spearheaded by, The Institute for Student Empowerment. He is the host of the District's television show, "Inside LAUSD's Students Voices." Mr. Hall provides "Relationship Building, and Success Strategies for Re-Engaging Disengaged Students," to teachers and principal's, throughout the district. He received high praise and great evaluations from his recent principal's training, at the district's "2015 Summer Institute." He is the author of 4 books, and hosts a weekly radio show on Accelerated Radio. |
